We are looking for a large Nut, size 2 1/4 with 12 threads per inch for a T400 Gallion Road Grader. The nut fits on the Outer Rear Brake Drum
This Nut holds the Brake Drum On. Please let us know where we could possibly get one.

Thanks Much!!!

Jeff,
Galion (this is the correct spelling) is still in business, but they have apparently been bought up by Komatsu, check your Yellow Pages for dealers. They should have manuals or reprints for real old stuff. I thought I had found a website, but it wouldn't come up. Try searching on Komatsu.

Good Luck,

A friend is in need of a parts book or mechanic's manual (or at least good advice) for a 1937 falion road grader as he is at a loss as to how to remove the wheel bearings/gear hub from the main drive axle without tearing something up. Concern is that inboard bearing on main axle in tandem box has failed, allowing full tandem drive box to wobble. Removal of bolts, which we assume holds bearing box inside drive gear box, has not allowed bull, even with a lot of pressure, (hub) gear removal. Please respond to [email protected]
