If anyone has any surplus Allis Chalmers Orange #10660-079 from CT Farm & Country I would like to buy it from you.I just received my fourth shipment only to find out that they changed suppliers and the color isn't even close to what I have been using.

Bud, Does the new color appear to be anything like Persian Orange #1? I was in my local CT store the other day and they had very little of the old style paint left; no A-C Orange at all. They have a sign up saying they are changing to a new "PREMIUM" supplier and will have the new paint available "soon". Brian G.

And I thought I was the only one using the spray cans. I do not have enough on hand to finish my tractor so I would be very interested in knowing if the new orange they will carry will match the old 10660-079. Would appreciate if the first person to try it would pass this information on.

The new stuff isn't even close to 10660-079.It may be close to Persian#1 while the 10660-079 is perhaps Persian#2 or #3. I assume those that may have used the quarts or gallions will also have a problem if they ever need more paint to match what they have.

Sinse the 10660-079 appears to be a Farm & Country brand (it has their logo on it) I am going to call the catalog 800 number to see if it is still available that way. The store I went to in the Denver area said when they went to this new supplier they sent all of the old stock back. We can only hope they have a big supply of it at their warehouse that can be purchased through the catalog. I will let you know what I find.

I was getting mine from the warehouse. They claim not to have any of the old paint left. Let me know if you have any luck. I found them to not be helpful and in fact didn't even seem to care.

I believe I have ran down a source for the paint. It is produced by Val Spar and can be ordered at Payless under the name "Allis Chalmers Orange".I have been told that it is the same paint that was being sold thru CT.Hope this helps

You the man, Bud! Where will I find a Payless store? I am from Denver and we don't have any around here. Just to let you know, as a last grasp of trying to get the paint from CT I ordered 20 cans of the 10660-079 from the CT catalog and told them specifically not to send me the new kind. Based on an earlier message of yours I am really expecting to receive the new kind despite my plea but I had to take a shot. I have been pondering what to do if I can't get the same color so you have given me new hope. Could you send me your email address so we can continue to correspond regarding this new paint source.
