I am restoring my 39 AC B and can't seem to find any square head bolts (typically 3/8" or 1/2") as specified in my parts manual. Everything I've found is hex head. Any ideas where to find them?

Try a small family run company in PA called Correct Connection. I think they specialize in JD fasteners, but they may have some square head stuff you could use. (814) 926-2777.

I have also seen square-head bolts and nuts in the "specialty fastener" drawers at some Lowe's. I didn't look to see what sizes are available.

I was going to order some this week and you just reminded me. I get them from my bolt supplier but it takes several weeks and I have to buy 100 each size. I can send you some after I get them in. They dont cost a lot more than regular hardware bolts or at least the last batch I got in didn't. I still have several of the 1/2" x ? that go through the square tube but none of the size that holds the fenders on. E-mail me the sizes you need and I will order tomarrow. Might be agood idea to e-mail me a string to tie around my finger so I will not forget to ordr them.
