: : : : : What is the specs on this dozer. What years were they made and what is one that is in good condition worth. : : : Q: Is this a HD-11S? Dennis H. : : No this is around a 1950 model orange of course- It has an S emblem and is a 4 cyl gas motor. It is in remarkably good shape. : I'm not going to be any help here, possibly someone else will chime in... Dennis H. The model "S" dozer was manufactured from 1937-1942, and one in as good a shape as you describe would be a real "FIND". The "S" engine was a huge 4 cylinder with a 5.75" bore and 6.5" stroke, for 675 cu. in. It showed slightly over 84 HP on the belt, and pulled 88% of it's 20,330 lb wt. Engine operating RPM was 1,050. It should be noted that the transmissions in the "S" were the first to use spiral cut bevel gears of constant mesh, so it could be shifted on the go like a truck. That's about all the pertinent information I could paraphrase from Swinford's new book on Allis Chalmers Construction Equipment. Have a G'day. TED
