Value of CA ( I think its a keeper, what would you do)

I have a '52 CA that I bought with a stuck engine I pulled the head off and got her loosened up and cleaned up,put her back together and HOLY COW it runs don't smoke at all. It is in very good cond. overall thats why I bought it. It has power adjust rims (PAWS) and is a tricycle front end with only one front wheel its a good tractor runs great. Should I keep it or sell it ?? if I sell it whats it worth. I paid $500. with stuck engine. Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Doug

I think that you should keep it as long as it is fun! or if your bored with it sell it and buy another one to fix! it depends on what type of person you are. I would keep it and have fun with it, were as my dad would sell it for profit so if your starving sell it! if not enjoy it there's more to life than money!!!

That CA with good tires should be worth at least $2000. If the hand clutch and hydraulics/pto work well, it's a good tractor at $2000.00. Any day I can touch a 26hp belt & 23 hp at the drawbar with live hydraulics for $700-900, I'll buy them all day long and sell them for $2000. The wide front is somewhat more desirable to use, but the single front wheel is rare so worth just as much as a wide front or more to a collector. Providing they are sound tractors and not ready to fall apart. You did real well in my humble opinion. I have a wide front CA with great tires and power adjust rims and lots of great parts and I've had several $1200 offers, and it doesn't even run.

If you live in a good AC part of the country you could probably make some change. I live were AC is not popular and good running AC CA with wide front won't sell for over $700-$900. My vote, Keep it! A good running tractor that didn't cost you an arm and a leg is too hard to find.

GOOD FOR YOU Looks like you lucked out. If it looks good and you don't think you need it I would sell it and try another one. You should be able to show up old duffers like my who put twice as much money into a tractor than I can sell it for. You should be able to put at least 2 grand in your pocket on this tractor. Then who am I to give advice. after I get one fixed up it never gets sold, I just talk about selling them. Only real advice is to have fun with it whatever you do.
