My ca when in gear- forward or reverse moves very slowly and then eventually moves faster. No noise. does any one have an idea what my problem might be? ?

Sounds like either the main clutch or the hand clutch is slipping. It may need adjustment. The reason it pulls better after a bit is that it has heated up and expanded so it makes better contact.

Better check it out. It might get expensive if you let it go.

to grandad, thanks. the final drive clutch is in however the lever and adjustment have been removed when a new final drive was installed. would that clutch be activated if those parts were not intact? Is there a way to check the main clutch without breaking the tractor? thanks tdelewe
