The 1938-42 B's were rated at 15.6 belt and 12.9 drawbar hp. The 1943-57 B's were rated 22.25 belt hp and 19.5 Drawbar. The serial number break is B64501, that is when they changed from the 116 cu in to the 125 . hope this helps.

The parts are easy to come by at C T Farm stores catalogs, or several parts dealers and junk yards that you will see in the posts here. I don't here at this time , some will post it shortly, but around 20 hp
I have yet to find the 3 1/4" pistons in any B's I have tore down, all have been replaced with the 3 3/8" pistons that makes the same at the power takeoff as the C. They used to farm small farms with the B so I wouldn't see how you would have a mowing job that it would be to big for it and you would have an Antique besides. Go for it.

Dick, We must be pretty lucky then. We have 2 '39 B's, both with the 3 1/4" bore. I just found an old Allis guy that still had a set of rings in the box for them also.

Whats your point? I don't know how lucky you are. That was the way they were made. I have three B's that I have tore down and they all had the 3 3/8" pistons in them. If it has the 3 1/4 pistons it still would enough power to do a good job of mowing. If you have the Horse Power of the 3 1/4" piston post it for the guy. If your playing got ya! you didn't read what I posted very well.

Dick, I wasn't playing gotcha. I was just letting Denny, and you know, that there are still some 3 1/4" piston tractors still out there, and not to assume that all have been replaced with the 3 3/8" pistons and sleeves.

PS looks like your parents picked out an appropriate name.
