Just bought a WD45 6 cyl Diesel. Are there some D-17 enhancements I can put on or in it?

Depends what you want. The 45 is a great tractor for a collector or some light work around the home 20. It is easy to work on and parts are readily available. The 17 on the other hand is a real tractor that you can use to do a significant amount of farm type work. It has a good horsepower range and handles well. 45's in this area will run from $1000 for a fair one to $3000 for a very good one. The 17's will run from about $2000 for a pretty poor one to $3500 for a pretty good one. Series 4 tractor's are worth $500 to $1000 more. Me? I grew up on 45,s and would love to have one. I now have a D-17 IV that is very handy and intend to restore.

The D-17 is definitely worth more than a WD-45 in like condition. If the D-17 is a Series IV, the difference in value is considerable.

In the words of somebody else, " It takes a sharp D-17 to stay ahead of a WD-45!"

As long as it's ORANGE I don't thinck it matters. But my 59 D-17 Diesel stock will give any stock 45 a run for it's money.
