Genesee Products. P. O. Box 1977 Owasso, OK 74055
just outside Tulsa Phone 918-274-8000
Installed on a WD45 and love it. Converted to 12 volt left in the 6 volt starter. With the kit and high energy coil $112.90. Keep the point breaker plate if you ever want to go back to orginal. On my conversion to 12 volt I installed a 12 volt generator and regulator also instead of an altenator to give more of orginal appearence.

I recently installed one of the Pertronix and have been very pleased with it. The entire unit fits inside the distributor and can use the stock coil. They list units for Allis Chalmers on their web site.

What planet are you on? To the best of my knowledge all electronic ignition is for modern cars, 12v. Go ahead and put an alternator on at the same trip. Delco alt and a MSD 6 should pump up your WC.

Please explain what an MSD 6 is.

I have installed a GM 1-wire alternator on my 1950 Model B and would be interested in converting to an electronic ignition. What would have to be replaced and from whom can I get the parts?

Thanks.

Go to the Genesee Products link on the "Parts and Supplies" page at this site. They have 6V electronic ignition for certain Fords, otherwise it has to be 12V negative ground.
