HELP!!! HOW DO I GET THOSE BLASTED CAMLOCKS LOOSE SO I CAN SLIDE THE WHEELS ON MY D-14??? I EVEN LOOSENED THE BOLTS 1\2 TURN & DROVE AROUND TO NO AVAIL!!

John, To answer a short question with a long story. Your problem is exactly how we came to start Yesterday's Tractors. Many years ago we needed a tractor for the farm with more weight after trying to make it with small modern tractors for awhile. Kim and I bought a D-14 in ok condition but with one wheel out and one in. The first thing I wanted to do was get the wheels positioned the same. After fighting with it for a while, I popped the calcium filled 26's off (with the help of the Case 580B I was borrowing) and pulled (broke off) the bolts holding the eccentrics to the hub. Then eccentrics of course fell off (well... with a few minor taps maybe, but it really helps to have the pressure of the hub released) which let me soak them in penetrating fluid for a couple of days. When I put them in the vise they came right apart. Unfortunately by then, I had time to wirebrush and paint the wheels and hubs which made the rest of the tractor look real bad, I had to restore the whole darn machine. Needless to say it was months before I dropped the plow into the soil with that machine. After 20+ Allis' (plus a several other brands) and several years of working with older machines, we were too deep into the love of these machines not to start YT. Good luck. Chris

I don't know if this is right but it worked for my brother and my self. We put one guy on a long pipe and another guy with a torch and heated them. Our broke loose with not all that much heat.

If you have it available, this will work, i.e. something will give: You have to use an impact wrench, swivel joint on the end of it, sticking in a 3/4" impact socket. They don't get too rusted to hold up under the air power. If you twist one off, I have a few extra.
