Good Morning! I need to do some work on the shifting mechanism of my 41C. My grandson was sitting on the seat, driving with his mouth motor, moving the steering wheel and working the gear shift. Somehow he shifted it into a gear and the gear shift was apparently pulled up. This locked the tractor into gear without the gear shift being in the correct spot to effect any gear changes. I took the side panel off and got everything properly aligned and working again. A few days later I bounced across a ditch and the trans locked into a gear, 2nd I think. By rocking the tractor back and forth I was able to get it to unlock and again shift correctly. There is a lot of play in the shift lever, both in the normal shifting range and the shift lever itself lifts beyond what I think is acceptable. Im thinking shifting forks and shift lever pilot washer. What needs to be done and how do I go about it?
