I have a WD that idles good but when put under a load it bogs down. possible timing or carb?

Vince, there is several things that can cause an engine to loseits power and you have been given some good ones to check but if you still have the problem you might want to check the distributor. three years ago I bought a 1850 Oliver real cheep after the guy that owned it gave up after tuneing it up, grinding the valves, rebuilding the carb and still no power. I put aplow on it and could pull it at an idle but when I would start to give it more gas it would die, After tinkering with it for two or three days I put the distributor out of my 1650 and it ran fine. I took the distributor apart and found the weights had stuck and wouldn't allow it to advance, this might not be your problem but if all else fails it is something to check. good luck keep checking and you will find your problem.

I had similar trouble with my CA, it ended up being sediment in the carb. Cleanout the tank and carb and then see how she runs.
