WD rim removal

How do you remove a rear Wd rim? There are brackets with 3 bolts holding the rim to the center. It doesn't look like loosening any of them will allow the rim to clear the brackets. Do I have to remove all of the bolts? I'm a little confused... Please help!!! By the way, I'm not mechanical, so please be VERY detailed if possible. Like your explaining how to do it to a five-year-old!!! I feel about that smart right now. Thanks, RC

There are 4 locking brackets, each bolted to the wheel with TWO bolts. The third "bolt" is actually the locking cam that (when released) allows the wheel to turn on the rails to change the tread width. To remove the rim from the wheel, you have to turn each cam bolt counter-clockwise to loosen it. Depending on how long it's been since the wheel tread was changed and whether or not the tractor was shedded, this may require a lot of effort and the use of much penetrating oil such as "PB-Blaster", Kroil or such. You then remove the eight bolts attaching the four brackets to the wheel, and you're home-free!. Nuthin' to it! Have Fun! Brian G.

Be careful when you start to turn the rim. As you get to the end of the rails the tire and rim have a good chance of falling off if your not careful.
