Is there anyway to fine tune the engine on my son's Mod. C ?
We have set the mag per the article within this site, tractor started, after several choice words and a session with the hand crank.
We have a slight miss, not all the time though, thinking maybe plugs are fouled as they are the old ones.
I was just interseted in knowing if they could be fine tuned or set to a specific timing figure. Jeff M.

: I was just interseted in knowing if they could be fine tuned or set to a : specific timing figure. Jeff M. jeff, you can play with the timing while the engine is idling and retard it until you can tell it is "loading up". then, advance it until you hear it clear up, then, just a fraction more
should do it. the intermittent miss may be a carb setting problem. id check it first.
also, if youre running champion spark plugs, throw them away and get some ac-delco, or autolite. and, by the way
you should be running solid wire plug wires, none of that filament stuff works well at all with old magneto ignition
