I need to adjust the toe-in on my Allis 'C' but the tie rods are stuck. I tried WD40 to loosen them up but that didn't work. I figure I can either get a torch and heat up the outer tubes or I can try some super-duper rust breaker. Has anyone had this problem, and what did you do to break the tie rods free. Also, I tried to take the tie rods completely off but the ends are stuck real good too.

WD45: Had the same problem. 4 ft. pipe wrench would not work after soaking in diesel and wd40. broke out the old rose bud and tanks and heated the devil out of it, once broke loose no problems,

I like a fire wrench. I dont like to wate on oil on threads. Heat it up, take it apart, clean the threads, coat the threads and put it back togather. Sounds like a half hour job.

I use a product called Kroil. I used it for many years in industrial maintenance. It works wonders with rusted tight stuff. An application of Kroil a couple of taps with a hammer and it will loosen up. You may have to do it a couple of times over a period of time but it works.

Go with Grandad, Kroil over time, no damage!
