Is there an application of the Hercules IX3-B engine in any of the older Allis Chalmers tractors, such as the B, C or WC? I'm looking for a parts source for this engine. Thanks for any help. DeWayne,

DeWayne, I believe the only outside engine manufacturer used by A-C was Waukesha. I'm not aware of any Hercules engines in A-C's. Don't take that as gospel, but I{'ve not heard, seen or read about any Hercules engines in any of the A-C's from the 30's through the 50's. Hercules engines were used in Cockshutts and Co-Ops though and there's a site for them at the link below. Phil

Some of the early "U" models had Continental engines, but like Phil, I don't remember any reference to the Hercules engine in A-Cs.

A City Guy's First Tractor - by Fred Hambrecht. After living in apartments in Atlanta for more years than I care to remember, the wife and I decided to move to the country.
