I just wonder, I read that I first have to check if my magneto is turning clockwise or vice versa to get the right timing. To know were I am going to match the "A" or "C" in the gearwheel in the mag. So, if I look at the mag from the front end (were the rotorcap/end cap is and then turn the mag, Is that the place were I will know if its cw or ccw?
Or is it tha case that ALL Allis Bīs (mine is a 39ī) are set for clockwise rotation, also meaning that i have to line up with the "C"? Please help... Im getting more and moore confused about this.
Regards
Per

look at the gears and see if the marks line up on the "C". put a plug wire and plug into the #1 cap spot. turn the mag and watch if "fire" when it comes up to #1 cap wire. go around 2-3 times and check it. then stop just before #1 fires.--- now turn the motor sos #1 cylinder is coming up on compression- put your finger over the plug hole as you turn the motor with the crank. when you feel compression, turn the motor till it is at TDC, then put the mag on and bolt it up.

Watch the rotor to see if it turns CW or CCW as you bump the starter. Hal
PS: If you bring No1 piston near the radiator to TDC on the compression stroke your rotor should be pointing to the No1 plug tower on the cap, then have your plug wires in the correct firing order 1-2-4-3.
