I got into antique Allis tractors back in March of 2007. I bought a non-running B. Then I bought a non-running C in November 2007.

I have never worked on anything mechanical before so this was a new experience. Well, I finally got the C running today. It was a great feeling to take it for a ride around the yard. It was actually my first time driving a farm tractor.

Anyway, I wanted to tell everyone on the forum thanks for the help over the last year. I would have never got it going without you guys.

rkr29kracing, Hey, congratulations. I have a nonrunning Allis Chalmers C that I plan to restore in my retirement. I have never torn into the engine of anything, and I am interested in communicating with you about advice you would offer. Pitfalls, things to avoid, etc. in starting out. Thanks Bookman

Congratulations!!!
You got that right, what a good feeling to hear them run again.
I know the feeling well . I brought two C's back to life after both had sat in a barn for 23 years.
