Seeking general info on the Tractomotive Corp. located in the northern Chicago suburbs circa 1950.
Started by "Van" Dobeus with some Allis-Chalmers investors and sold circa (?) to Allis Chalmers.
"Van" was former Chief Engineer at Allis Chalmers Springfield and had a brother Joseph, owner of Lakefield Manufacturing, Milwaukee. Manufactured bldes and loaders for earth movong equipment.
