i notice i have left to right play in steering before front wheels turn. i think the steering gear box may be worn? it steers smooth, but just has a 2 to 3 inch play left or right. any suggestions on how to fix or what to do... thanks, Jim

Hi Jim,

Did you by chance ever get your steering problem figured out???

I have a 1940 B with the same problem. I believe I have a Gemmer steering box and i just cannot seem to get the adjustment to work.

If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

The Gemmer steering box is adjustable. I think most of them are Ross boxes, and I am not familiar with how the Ross box adjusts. You need a service manual to properly adjust it.
