Hello, My father has an old Allis-Chalmers. He says that it is a 1937 B with a crank start. It is in working condition with about three attachments. He is looking to sell it but has no idea what it is worth...Can anyone help out, or tell me where I can go find a price guide or value chart? Thanks, MattKelley

They started building B's in 1937 and only built 100 of them the first year. It would be worth at least three times as much as a normal B. Check the serial number which is next to the transmission shifter. Click on the Serial Number link on the left side of this page and it will take you to a model year chart.

If the tractor is truly a 1937 it would have a Waukesha engine in wich case it is very sought after by B collectors. Swenson and Dean place the value of a Waukesha B from $2750 for a parts tractor to $9950 for a correct parts museum quality tractor.

For a B after that, $250 for a parts tractor up to $3250 for a museum quality tractor. If it runs and has all of the correct pieces in good condition $700 to $1000.
