I have a Allis 2-14 trail plow with a clutch lift. The plow needs new shares but not sure where to go. I don"t have a model number but on the back of the moldboards the number 309215 is stamped in. Also, there"s a stenciled number on each moldboard. Hard to read but I think it"s No. 24. Any ideas? If any one needs it I"ll post a picture. Thanks!

You are looking for a 308861 share. That moldboard is correct for the #24 plow bottom, both 12" and 14". If your AGCO dealer says Obsolete, check with farm supply stores. There used be vendors like Crescent True Fit that made aftermarket shares to fit AC and other brands.

If you locate a moldboard source, perhaps you can cross reference to the right share for it. Wiese, etc.

Identifying Tractor Smells - by Curtis Von Fange. We are continuing our series on learning to talk the language of our tractor. Since we can’t actually talk to our tractors, though some of the older sect of farmers might disagree, we use our five physical senses to observe and construe what our iron age friends are trying to tell us. We have already talked about some of the colors the unit might leave as clues to its well-being. Now we are going to use our noses to diagnose particular smells. ELECTRICAL SMELLS
