I have and old HD 3. I need an water pump. Also, i have a problem from when my uncle overhauled our HD 3. it leaks watter into the oil. Why? Any help is help. Everything else works fine.

Like any other clutch, disks will wear. There is a access cover where the shuttle clutch oil cooler lines come out. Remove the cover, it has o-rings on the inside so it will pull straight out. After you remove the cover you loosen the bolts all the way arround the clutch that hold the shims. This is easy if you place the transmission in neutral and keep the clutch lever in center so you can spin it with your hand. Remove .015 shim from the rear and place .015 shim in the middle in order to keep the overall distance needed. I buy shim stock in a roll and cut my on but you can buy the shims allready cut. Remember to tighten all all all the bolts when through. This can be done without removing anything from the crawler but it is a long reach through the tracks.

Hi, I am in urgent need of a set of pins and bushings, or a set of tracks, good used would be fine, for an HD 3. Am located in Northern Saskatchewan, but ok to drive.

Take the hyd. control off lay out and dis-assemble carefuly ... one of the springs on the valve body is broken ..check springs and replace . worked on my h-4 thats only thing i found

I AM LOOKING FOR SOME INFO ON THE EASIEST WAY TO REPLACE THE STEERING CLUTCHES ON THE LEFT SIDE OF A HD3 DOZER. I HAVE THE SEAT AND THE COVER OFF OVER THE BREAK AND CLUTCH HOUSING. THAT IS AS FAR AS I HAVE GOTTEN AT THIS TIME. ANY HELP I CAN GET I WILL BE GREATLY THANKFUL.

THERE IS AN AJUSTMENT BUT IM NOT SHER HOW TO DO IT
THAY ARE AN OVER CENTER CLUTCH LIKE WHOT IS USED ON ERROGASON ENGINE (WATER PUMPS PTO).
THERE IS A COVER THAT YOU CAN REMOVER. ROBERT
