D14 Motor

Is there a quick way of knowing which ci motor a D14 has? Also what is the 138ci motor rated at hp wise? I see the 149 is about 30-31.

S/N 6281 if that helps.

My book says the D-14 only came with the 149 cu in engine. It developed 30.91 hp on the drawbar and 34.08 on the belt pulley.

Thanks Denny, I see my confusion now. I was looking at engine rebuild kits and saw a 138 kit. I'm guessing the same block for several of the smaller D series tractors.

Good assumption. The D-10 Series I had a 138.7 cu in displacement. The Series II D-10 had a 149. This was also true for the D-12. I believe the D-15 Series I gas also used the same block. I don't know about the D-15 Series II as the bore was getting pretty big for that block.
