Looking to reverse an early AC, (or find one and restore it) to do forklift chores around my place. I've seen a couple of WC's converted, but nothing newer. Was wondering if a WD-45 or D-15 could be reversed. Would appreciate any advice, thanks.

Fred
I have an I-60 forklift that I would sell for $3300.00. Basically a factory setup on a D-15. If you are interested, I will post my email address.

WD/WD45 is quite easy to reverse. Did mine in the late 70s. Drain the differential, remove the cover, remove the rear axles. Unbolt the pumpkin, flip it 180 degrees, and bolt it back in. That puts the ring gear on the other side of the pinion, so you have four speeds in reverse, one forward. Mount a seat over the gas tank. Remake clutch and brake pedals and linkages- mine has shaft running through pipe to cross over from side to side.
