This site lists Allis orange, Persian orange #1, and Persian orange #2. Which is the correct paint for a 52 WD?

Hi Tony,

Kip and George are correct. The use of Persian Orange #2 didn't start until 1959. PO #1 is more washed out and less red than PO #2.

Thanks. I never have liked the old AC's with the new bright orange.

PO#1, but if you like the later brighter oranges, hey it's your tractor. My earlier tractors are all corporate orange, because that's my preference. Years ago if a dealer overhauled an older tractor they usually got painted like the contemporary ones, that's why back in the 60s & early 70s you would see alot of 8N Fords painted blue/gray over their original red/gray finish. Tony,
Persian #1 would be correct for your WD. Good luck on your project!
