i have a 1950 WD and its getting water in the oil. any ideas on where the water might be getting into the oil?

You might want to pull the valve cover FIRST and check for rusted out "freeze plugs" in the cylinder head. It does happen, it will get water in your oil, is a quick and easy fix and may save you a lot of work and $$$$$. I like to replace freeze plugs with BRASS freeze plugs and "lubricate" them with high temperature silocone sealant. NEVER have to worry about them again. Good luck

if you have water in oil make sure you check out rod and main bearings i put a brand new set in my WD45, ran if for a while and checked the oil and had some water in it. so i took the engine back out and the water in the oil ruined the new bearings i just put in. Check the sleeves i think thats my problem.

My Dad had one that had been frozen. Cracked between the cylinders. Always had water in the oil. Used it for years that way.

Head gasket, sleeve seal, and or a cracked head or block. Pull the oil pan and see if its low in the engine or high. If low probably a sleeve seal it high a head gasket or a crack
