ok just got her back together after a total tear down and the clutch dont clutch i adjusted the fingers when i had it apart by the book must have been wrong it says you can do it through the inspect hole anyone ever do it and what you use for the measurement thank you

WELL I LOOKED AT IT AND FIGURED I MIGHT AS WELL SPLIT IT I DID THAT AND SET THEM AT 2 INCH VERSUS THE 1 13/16 THE BOOK SAYS AND NO PROMBLEM . TIME ABOUT AN HOUR BUT THE SHOP IS SET UP FOR IT SINCE I JUST PUT IT BACK TOGETHER. OH YEAH HAD TO ADJUST CLUTCH ROD SINCE THE BEARING WAS STILL SPIINING A BIT

I have done it through the inspection/adjustment hole. I used a 1/4 inch piece of rod I bent at a slight angle to fit between the fingers and throw out bearing. It worked great. If you do not get the same clearance on each finger the clutch will stick and take a while to disengage.
