am looking at a agco allis 4660 with loader.lights and gages don't work have not seen tractor in person yet.looks clean in photos.also is air cooled engine any good.diesel.1991 any help and comments will be appreciated mfwd

As an ex territory service man for AGCO, I can tell you I saw very little, if any, problems with the air cooled engines. Biggest things to remember are to keep oil coolers and air chambers around the heads clean from chaff and grass. Is generally not a problem as most small particles will pass through the air cooling fins, however if the oil cooler is plugging up, it is a good idea to check the air chamber.
As far as the electrical, sounds like it could be a fuse, bad wire or a grounding problem.
