I still have not had any luck at this, so i will try to post again. Do any of you folks no if a transmission out of any other bigger 7000 series tractor will bolt upto my 7050? it has the powerdirector trans. thanks

7030 and up all use the same engine (426 with small variations) so i dont see any reason it wouldnt. according to my service manaul, there are small variations in shift collars and bushings that were made as improvements. The bushing pertain to the mainshaft gears and you need to know which type you have if your doing parts swap or rebuild. I see nothing that indicates any major changes that would not allow a complete tranny swap

i have never tried it but i think up tru a 7080 and maybe a 7580. a 8000series would probally fit but the valves are different. you should ask a salvage guy they can check part#s on housings and stuff
