My dad recently bought an Allis Chalmers WD93089. He is not sure what year it is. If anyone can help it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks!

You've arrived at the right place for help. Allis WD's are fine tractors and just about indestructible. I have a '49 that we bought new and still use it quite often. I have added an after market three pont hitch which is just about a necessity in this day and age if you want to mow or blade or do a lot of things. Engine can be overhauled as many times as you want. It has some peculiarities which people on this forum will be glad to share.

Looks like a 1950 WD.

1950 WD started with serial 35741 and ended with serial 72355. 1951 started with 72356 and ended with serial 105216. So she would have a 1951 WD with those numbers. I know that mine is a '49 and it has serial 16607 and that fits into the numbers provided over on the left side of screen under "Serial numbers".

Look on the left of this page under research and info, then serial numbers, then Allis, then WD and see where that number fits and you will know the year. Sorry I will tell you how to find it but I will not do it for you. Sort of like teaching you to fish and feed you for a life time or give you a fish and feed you today thing

Thanks so much! Never meant to imply that I needed nor wanted someone to do it for me. Just briefly looked at this website to order parts for him. Kind of hard to have free time to browse when you are a single mom of two.

As I was not trying to imply any thing either. I just prefer to try to help a person learn to help them selfs. BTDT and my dad was a college professor so its sort of in my blood to try to teach but yet only help enough for you to help your self. Most of what I know I learned by the road of hard knocks so doing that you either learn or give up and I've always been a fighter so I learned

Old, my two cents are that there isn't any operators manual for life so we all have ways of dealing with the bumps in the road so our answers to lifes problems vary my kids lost thier mom 13 years ago so I just pick them up dust them off and point them in the right direction they're doing great now in fact they don't call so much anymore and the fact is I miss that :-<. I understood what you were trying to do if that matters. CT

That"s alright Teresa it"s what most of us like to do and that is help people. You"ve got your hands full with two youngsters to me that"s more than trying to restore any tractor at least when we complete the task we"re done but raising kids that goes on forever believe me I know I"ve got one going on 40 and one going on 32. LOL
