I have WD that is missing serial number,either lost to sanding or removed for some reason,is there any way to find year from engine block number or any other place to find serial number????? ???

Very early WD had the number in two locations, typical one on the left rear vertical face of the differential, plus on top, alongside of the left brake cover. Early op manual shows it- serial number 4004. Engine numbers might mean squat, since many engines were changed. Could compare axle casting numbers, etc with known aged tractors.

JMS/MN; thanks this tractor didn`t have the quick couple when I got it (I put one on from parts tractor ) so am guessing that it is early model will look for vertical number . THANKS Don
