1.) Do NOT use a cutout in addition to the regulator. There IS a cutout IN the regulator. Whoever told you there wasn't one is "full of beans"!

2.) Since you have identified the L, Batt, and F terminals the remaining one HAS to be the "GEN" or "ARM" terminal (different words for the same thing).

I replaced the cut out with the new voltage regulator yesterday. I used the terminal on the back of the regulator as the generator output connection. The "L" terminal was left alone and I induced a brief current across the "batt" and the "G" terminals on the regulator prior to starting the tractor. It is working fine. I will have to wait for a few days to insure that the regulator naintains a charge on the battery.

The battery was fully charged when I installed the regulator.

Thanks for preventing me from doing something wrong on the hook up.
