I have one to sell in NY. Are they actually a picker or a snapper?

I remember AC advertising them as a snapper in the late 50s-60s. ie- just pick the ears off, will not remove any husks. Actually, the two-row AC mounted did not have a husking bed- whatever husking that was done was by the rubber rolls that picked off the ears. Dad had the early AC picker, before the Model 33, on a WC, left most of the husks on.

Joe, would you sell one of those pickers, possibly. I have been looking for one to run behind my wd45 for about a year and no one would sell theirs. if you would sell, i'd like to know what price you think it worth, and where your located. Thanks.

I have only ever seen one. It was very small, didn't have gathering chains, only non-powered star wheels down by the snoots. Not much of a husker on it. A local dealer had put it on his lot new and try as he might, couldn't sell it, nephew ended up running it on his farm for years. I don't know what has become of it, probably long since scrapped as the dealer is gone and the farm is in houses now.
