Does anybody know aprox.how many half track units were made? How rare are they?

Bombardier, and Arps were the two companies that I knew producing them.

I think the company that made them was Bombardier, the same co. that makes Ski-doo. Not too sure though. Since this post I found a WD with that option in an auction in Saskatchewan. May have to take a look at it. Seems like a rare option for an AC.

I would doubt that Allis Chalmers had anything to do with the half tracks. My neighbor had one on his mickey mouse Dorf to work muck ground, but it was not from Ford. I don't remember the company name but I do remember that it was told that they could set up any tractor with half tracks at the time. He pulled the tracks and float axle off when he was not working muck ground.
