I usually paint most stuff I restore, but I'm helping a buddy restore an AC 5020 tractor and we are looking at getting the hood and fenders powder coated. Does any company offer AC orange powder or what is available? Thanks for any info!

I had a sign coated with an orange powder coat that was close to persian orange #1. Best thing I can reccommend is to go talk to the coater and see what's available. If he does a lot of coating he should have different color swatches you can look at. If you're close to SE South Dakota, I can send you the info on the outfit that's local. They can do some large pieces.

Bout ready to fire mine up here in a few days. Let me know what you find out. I saw a segment on Orange County Choppers awhile back where they did a powder coat job but I thought they prepared the metal and sprayed a white powdery coating on then sprayed the powder with whatever color then baked it but that was too long ago can't remember. We have a powder coating shop about thirty miles from here that advertises on cable TV just can't find the time to get there. I was thinking about doing the spokes on my bike. I think that powder coating is the most awesome looking thing going today.CT

I would like to know as well. Been wanting to repaint the tractor but I would rather powdercoat the frame than paint it.

I have a bag of orange powder but have not had a chance to apply it yet. It looks close but who knows until it is cured out. I think they tried to match the Chevy hugger orange which would probly be on the red side. I bought it from a auto parts powder coater.
