PLEASE HELP----- would like info on how to remove starter .Have removed gss tank easy access to-- have removed lock bolt on side cant see any other fasteners. Will not come out dont know what im doing wrong ???? please help if youve ran across this problem Thank you

Have you removed both bolts --bet there is the one on the back side still installed / way down on back side behind solonoid .. need flex socket and long extension to get to it .. find it and out it comes ...Coke in MN

Dale.
If this has the 4cyl. deisel with the bullet nose
starter you will have to pry and beat on it. The last person to install it didnt put any grease or anti-sease on it when they installed it last.
you may want to soak it for a few days with some penatrating oil. If all else fails you can disemble the starter peice by peice until you only
have the nose in the tube. This may make it easier to remove.
I have done this on my D-15-D back hoe
