I came to own an old allis tractor and I"m not sure how to find out exactly what year it is. I think its a wd45 with wide front. Anyway It was running last fall and this winter I changed plugs and I guess i need to change the magnito. It only has 4 wires so Im guessing it dont have a distributor. It wont start now. Do I have to convert it and also do I have to use special plug wires and not just any auto wires? Any help out there would be appreciated Thanks. Shane

If your WD is Mag fired, you need to use a solid core wire with that application. DO NOT use Automotive resistor type wires! If doing a tune-up, the Spark Plug of choice for most AC owners is the Autolite 295 Spark Plugs. We build custom wire sets specifically for AC model tractors. Also service, rebuild, and sell parts for Fairbanks Morse Magneto's. Drop us a line if you need any help or info. Be glad to help you out....

Plug wires on a mg need to be true copper wires NOT auto type wires. If in fact it has a mag drop me an e-mail and I can send you a manual for the mag which should help you
