The original manual for my 1942 B says that there should be oil plugs for the two rear wheel gears at the top of the housing. I do not see them even with the rear tire removed. All I see is one oil fill plug on the side of the transmission which appears to fill both rear drive gears and the transmission and the hydraulics. Is this correct? My father used this tractor for farming and then we used it for cutting grass for about 40 years to date. No problems yet. Should I worry?

Never seen that in a manual. The final drive pans do not hold a lot of oil. The plug in the inside of the final drive pans is where you check the oil level as well as add or fill them with oil. You have to remove the pan to change oil and clean the sludge from the inside botton. Out of the ten or twenty final drive pans I have out here I have never noticed a stamped fill to line. You just fill until the oil starts to run back out the hole. I know you will not find a line on the cast iron final drive pans.

I was looking at a diagram in the manual showing the lubrication points. I guess it fooled me. All I saw on the tractor were the small vent holes on top of the axle housing.

Thanks for the picture. I will be able to find the fill hole. My oil pans are coated with oil and some dirt, so the oil either leaked out or it was over filled by my father a long time ago.

The fill/level plugs should be in the stamped sheetmetal sumps bolted to the bottom of the cast axel housings, right below the drawbar.
