Bob awhile ago you answered some questions about the top mount for your 3 point setup. I'm finally getting around to it. How long are the angle iron pieces and how far apart did you put the holes. I've got the 3/8 plate cut and drilled just need to cut and drill the angle iron and weld. By the way how thick was the angle iron. Thanks again, Mike

I have done them as short as 4 inches and as long as 8 inches. If you make them longer you can have more holes in them and by doing so you can make the point do a lot more then if you only have one hole

Thanks alot old. I stopped today to get some grade 8 bolts to hold it on. Those aren't overkill are they? I figured the stronger the better. Thanks again, Mike

always better to make something to strong then to make it to weak and then have to do it again. My self I like to build things over kill so I only have to do it once

Shoot Bob I've been make 3 point hitch on tractor now for 20 plus years. I've made many of them just by looking at a picture in a catalog and then copy them. Sort of funny how with a picture a person can build almost any thing if they just try and know how to weld

Yep I like to prove the guy who says it will not work or can't be done that it will work and it can be done. Years ago I had some one tell me I could not take a drag disk and turn it into a 3 point disk. A week later I had a good working 3 point disk made from an old drag disk

Old can you post a picture of that disc? Or is there one on your website? I have an old small disc that grandpa used to pull with the ac b. I have been toying with the idea of converting it but haven't come up with a good idea yet. Thanks for all your help. Mike

Old,you just reminded me,I took an old Dunham pull disc and made it into a three point,boy was that booger heavy!!Had a frontend loader on WD45 and still the front end was lite,Bob.

I'm not Bob but the way I do it is drill the holes in the angle iron then pin a center link to it and tack weld the angle to the plate. That way you have it about the way it needs to be. Not to tight but also not to loose. I use 1/4 inch angle iron nothing smaller because the center link does need to be very strong. Also when I do that pinning I put a washer on one end between the iron and the center link so give just a tad bit of side play so that when you pull the pin its not to tight to hook up easy like
