Exhaust ports on WD45 Head

The exhaust ports on the head of my WD45 are all pitted from a previous exhaust leak. Is there a filler I can use to seal this area that will withstand the heat? I want to make sure I don't have any leaks when I put it together.Thanks for any help, doorman

Plane the head or replace it. Have a good machinist check the manifold and head for you. A WC, WD, 45, 17, 170, 175, or E combine gas head will fit. Older heads require studs and differnt valve cover. Newer D17 and up use long reach spark plugs. The heads are easy to find used.

I have been using Hi-temp red rtv on exaust manifold to head for years, and never had a failure. Just as long as the surfaces are free from loose stuff and are dry. Even been able to reuse the AC exaust rings in a pinch.

I have a 56 International truck that the exhaust manifold was leaking at one port after installing a new gasket. I mixed up some JB Weld and packed it in and it has held great.

i have a head on my pulling tractor that water was comming into the exhaust port .i used a product that is used in the nuke industry to keep high pressure steam from cutting through valve seats. the product is belzona 111 supermetal . the exhaust port has done fine for 0ne year so far with this product.

I guess you could use HI-Temp Silicone RTV sealer.
