My hydraulic lift is allways up, it wont go down.It will raise with the lever in the down position when you start the tractor, and it wont go down untill you shut off the tractor and it bleeds off over several days. I've tried checking all of the linkages, and I have dissasembled the pump and valves. Didn't see anything obvious wrong, put it together with new o rings, still not working. Thanks.

I will try to explain what I found on mine when it did the same thing. It would raise in the lowered position when I started the tractor and would not go down until the tractor was shut off. ON mine it would go down with weight on the arms. I am using my parts list from the owners manual so I get the right name for the parts involved. First of all start with the front of the drawbar with the big coil spring. On the right side of this spring you should see a flat piece that is shaped kinda like a boomarang. It is named "link" in the parts manual. It has an adjusting stud on the lower end and a slot in the upper end. The slot fits over a stud on a piece called "shaft and lever". this piece goes into the "control housing". The odd shaped kinda triangular piece was loose where it fit on the shaft and allowed the shaft to rotate in the "control housing". I was lucky enough to be able to find some scars so I was able to get the "lever" to fit on the shaft in the right position and tack weld it in place.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I know the link between the big spring and the control lever is missing on mine, but the draft control was locked out with the thumb screw. I'll check out where the lever goes in th the control housing.
