what are the differences between a WC and a WD. how can they be told apart at a glance.

From the truck at 60 MPH look for the throttle and hydraulic lever quadrant behind the steering wheel, it's a dead giveaway and only seen on the WD and WD45.

John, I like that, 'cause I've actually done that many times. My interest is in the WD/WD-45s so this method can save a lot of time. LOL

Plus the Power-shift rear wheels and the shift lever---compared to the WC. Very visual indicator from a distance.

WD has hand clutch, spin out rear wheels, SN located on left brake housing,abd foot brakes. The WC has hand brakes, non-adjustable rear wheels, no hand clutch, and serial number located on pumpkin of differential.

Major differences ate that the WD had live pto and hydraulics- WC had neither, along with the capacity for mounted plows and other tillage equipment. Foot brakes were an improvement, also a bit more power from the same basic engine.

WC will have hand brakes. Also the transmission is bolted to the bell houseing instead of being close to the rear end. The shifter will also be a lot longer on the WC then on the WD
