im looking at a c for my wife to take this spring on a ride we travel at around 9-10 miles an hour the seller says its goes 10 nicely but i dont believe him and with all the snow and salt on the ground we cant prove it,any one know for sure?thanks,kevin

If you need 10 mph to keep up with a C your best bet would be a pull strap and a good set brakes. Save on gas as well.

the c was rebuilt 7 years ago and runs strong,its only been used for parades since other than being painted the wrong shade of orange its real clean and a fair price thats why im thinking about it i would just hate for it to be the last in line.the spring idea sounds like a plan.last year went with a friend who took a 39 jd b and every 100 feet i had to do a loop around him on my wc it was funny at first but after 10 miles it got old.thanks for the responses,have a good one.

If the C is in good tune put a CA governor spring or 125 power unit spring in it & it will get along just fine. Kip

It MIGHT make that speed if you ran it full bore and had (oversized) 12.4x24 tires on it instead of 11.2 tires. Even then it would be hard pressed to do so. Top speed with 11.2 tires is around 8 mph. Mr. Bob

If I remember right top end on one is around 7mph. Now if it has bigger rear tires the speed is a tad faster but not all that much
