I have a FM mag for a B with no spark and I am going to open it up to check the points , to see what I can do. Is there a trick to realign the gears up so that the mag is still timed correctly?
I have not openned one up yet, and could use the help.

I woul;d appreciate the manual on the FM mag and I thank you.

By the way in your other post on my model B and your recommendation of putting trans fluid in the oil , in the gas. Can a guy use this rather than tearing down the engine. I am curious about what you think

All the ATF does in the gas and oil is cleans things up and loosens up sticking valves and ring. If the engine is still good it help but it does not fix a worn out engine. As far as the manual you have to send me and e-mail so I can send it to you. I can't send it any other way

I just filed and reset the gap on my points and it worked well after being idle for several years. There is a manual for the FMJ mag somewhere on the net. Someone on here posted it. I will try to locate the source of the copy I downloaded if you cannot find it.
