D14 Starter

I have purchased a 59 D14 that came with a Delco starter 1107474. The starter does not work and replaced with rebuilt Delco to match the numbers, but definately not correct. Does anyone know what the original starter #s where? Tractor has been converted to 12v.

My 1957 D-14 came as 6 volt, has been converted to 12 volt with alternator. I still use the 6 volt starter because I was told the nose cone for the 12 volt is not the same. You may need to check with an AGCO dealer (or someone else with the correct parts book for your year and serial number) to get the correct starter. HTH Jim

There is a D15 starter on ebay. Should be the same as the D14.
