I found that nonoe of the manuals really does a good job. The IT manual has things that the Allis manual reprints don't. I've particularly had trouble with later parts on earlier tractors that may not be in the Allis manual, like distributors. The parts manual is very useful and the IT manual has some good little details. The Allis manual assumes you are familiar with basic tractor repair ("method of disaasembly will be self-evident" might be true prior to 50 years of baked on grease and dirt). The BEST thing I have found is my digital camera, and the second best is this site, particularly Dick L and a couple of others. But I would get the Allis parts and service reprints and the IT manual, together they will get you 90%.
