What is the difference between a Gleaner E engine and a D17 engine.

Also the E has a little more power because of a little higher compression.

The combine engine is governed for high idle(working speed), very little action at anything less than full throttle.

Engine is basically the same- but combine engine has a fuel pump on the side---D17 is a gravity flow from the fuel tank. If you put it into a tractor- need to remove the fuel pump and block the mounting. Might also be a governor issue- lots of info in archives.
