Our 175 has a Swartz loader on it. When we stop lifting the loader it will settle a little real fast and then will slowly go the rest of the way down. I disconnected the hyd. hoses when the loader was in the air and the loader stayed up for three days. Can any one give me some advise on what to repair? Thanks.

You already figured it out- the hydraulic valve that controls the boom has an internal leak. Might be o-rings in there. If the bucket is hydraulic, and doesn"t sink- only the boom valve needs repair.

Thanks for the reply. I will get the seal kit and put it in. Are there any tricks to putting it in?

Go to the AGCO dealer for the kit and have him print out a diagram from the parts book. Any time you are dealing with hydraulics is to know what to expect upon disassembly (like catching springs that pop out), and keep everything clean. Dirt kills hydraulics! Dealer locater is at www.agcocorp.com. If it"s only the boom that sinks, you should be dealing with only one "slice" of the hydraulic valve stack.
