I have a 1942 WC Allis. I put an E-Gleaner combine motor in it. The govenor will not work at low RMP's, but works well at high RMP's. Is there a difference between tractor governors and combine govenors? How can I fix my problem? Does anyone have a trick to fix this without changing out the govenor.

Combine has a min/max governor, not a full range. you need the tractor style front cover on the motor. Good luck!

Internal spring is different and hooks to a different place. Change the spring and readjust linkage as according to D17 manual and it will work great.

It might be in the throttle linkage.
